Fernand Arbelot ;
is a musician, actor, and architect, but not much is known about his life. Although he was not mentioned much during his lifetime, after he was buried in Paris’s Pere Lachaise Cemetery, he became known worldwide thanks to the tombstone.
Arbelot was born in 1880, and a newspaper in Paris issued an obituary for him on November 19, 1942.
Fernand Arbelot’s Tombstone was designed by the Belgian sculptor Adolphe Wansart and completed in 1946, four years after Arbelot’s death. “They were amazed at the beautiful journey that led them to the end of life,” on Fernand Arbelot’s tombstone.
According to legend, Fernand Arbelot’s last wish;
for all eternity, he said to look at the beautiful face of his wife. Another legend is; vice versa ” Arbelot committed suicide after killing his wife.
While there are legends about Arbelot, the only known information is that Arbelot died during the Nazi invasion of Paris, a very dark period in French history, and although much is not known about his life, he can be remembered forever thanks to his unique tombstone.
